I have recently (May 1997) been appointed an Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University Hawaii campus in Laie, Hawaii. I will be teaching in the Computer Science department. I am currently finishing up my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering. My field is human-computer interaction, and specifically automatic speech recognition. My thesis is on measuring the confidence of recognitions.
